Guyatone

Guyatone was a Japanese manufacturer of electric guitars, amplifiers, effects pedals, and other musical instruments and audio equipment. Founded in 1933 as Hayashi Musical Instrument Research, the company was one of the earliest Japanese guitar manufacturers, initially focusing on Hawaiian and acoustic guitars before transitioning to electric instruments.

Throughout the mid-20th century, Guyatone produced a wide variety of guitars, many of which were sold under different brand names, particularly in the United States and Europe. These included stencil brands like Kent, Teisco, and others. The company also produced amplifiers and effects pedals, known for their unique circuits and often unconventional designs.
