Fireworks (Roxette song)
Fireworks is a song by the Swedish pop rock duo Roxette, released as the fourth and final single from their fifth studio album, Crash! Boom! Bang! (1994).
The song, written by Per Gessle, is a power ballad characterized by its soaring vocals, layered instrumentation, and melancholic lyrical themes. It explores themes of fleeting moments, missed opportunities, and the ephemeral nature of relationships, comparing them to the brief but spectacular display of fireworks.
Released in early 1995, "Fireworks" saw moderate success on international charts. While not reaching the heights of some of their earlier hits, it was a well-received album track and a staple in Roxette's live performances during the Crash! Boom! Bang! tour and subsequent concerts. The single release also included various remixes and B-sides. Although commercially released, a music video was not produced for "Fireworks." The song remains a popular track amongst Roxette fans and is often included on compilation albums.
