George Kirby (baseball)

George William Kirby (born January 1, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher who plays for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Kirby attended Elon University, where he played college baseball for the Elon Phoenix. The Mariners selected him in the first round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft.

He made his MLB debut with the Mariners on May 8, 2022. Known for his exceptional command and velocity, Kirby quickly established himself as a key member of the Mariners' starting rotation. He was named to the MLB All-Rookie Team in 2022. In 2023, Kirby earned his first All-Star selection.
