Odd Hoel
Odd Hoel (1890-1984) was a Norwegian Nordic combined skier who competed in the 1920s. He is best known for winning a silver medal at the 1926 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland. He also competed in the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix, France, finishing 4th in the Nordic combined event. Hoel represented Drafn Idrettsforening. He was a prominent figure in the early years of Nordic combined skiing and helped to popularize the sport in Norway and internationally.
