George Gardiner (wrestler)

George Gardiner (born c. 1883, date of death unknown) was a British wrestler who competed in the early 20th century. He primarily wrestled in the freestyle wrestling discipline. Gardiner represented Great Britain at the 1908 Summer Olympics held in London. There, he won a bronze medal in the freestyle bantamweight division. Details about his life outside of his wrestling career are scarce, and his exact birthdate and date of death remain unconfirmed. His Olympic medal is the most significant achievement recorded for him.
