John Murphy (footballer, born 1942)

John Murphy (born 30 March 1942) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a winger.

Murphy began his career with Dundee United in 1960, where he remained until 1966. During his time at Tannadice, he was a member of the squad that won the Scottish Cup in 1963. He then moved to Newcastle United, playing for them from 1966 to 1969. Following his spell in England, Murphy returned to Scotland and played for Falkirk before ending his senior career.
