Paul Ince

Paul Ince (born 21 October 1967) is an English professional football manager and former player. He was a combative and versatile midfielder known for his strength, leadership, and box-to-box playing style. He is one of the few players to have played for both Manchester United and Liverpool.

Playing Career:

Ince began his professional career at West Ham United in 1986, where he quickly established himself as a key player. In 1989, he joined Manchester United, where he enjoyed considerable success, winning two Premier League titles (1993, 1994), two FA Cups (1990, 1994), the League Cup (1992), and the European Cup Winners' Cup (1991).

In 1995, Ince moved to Internazionale of Serie A, Italy. After two seasons in Italy, he returned to England, signing for Liverpool in 1997. He later played for Middlesbrough, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Swindon Town before retiring in 2007.

Ince also represented England at international level, earning 53 caps and playing in the 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000.

Managerial Career:

Following his retirement, Ince moved into football management. He has managed Macclesfield Town (2006-2007), Milton Keynes Dons (2007-2008), Blackburn Rovers (2008), Notts County (2010-2011), Blackpool (2013), and Reading (2022-2023). He guided Milton Keynes Dons to the League Two title in 2008 and achieved promotion from League Two with Macclesfield Town, saving them from relegation.
