Minnaert (crater)
Minnaert is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the southwest of the large crater Pauli, and southeast of the crater Baldet.
Minnaert is a relatively well-formed crater with a sharply defined rim that has undergone only slight erosion. The inner walls display some terracing, particularly along the northern and eastern sides. The interior floor is somewhat uneven, with a small central peak located near the midpoint. A few tiny craterlets mark the interior, but otherwise it is relatively featureless.
The crater is named after the Belgian astronomer Marcel Minnaert.
