George Edwards (jockey)

George Edwards was a British flat racing jockey active primarily in the mid-20th century. He is best known for winning the 1952 Epsom Derby aboard Tulyar. Edwards was known as a strong and stylish rider, and his victory on Tulyar, owned by the Aga Khan III, cemented his place in racing history. While details of his career beyond the Derby win are less readily available, he was a respected member of the jockey community and continued to ride competitively for several years following his classic success.
