FC Juárez
FC Juárez is a Mexican professional football club based in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. Commonly referred to as simply Juárez, the club plays in Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football.
History: FC Juárez was founded in 2015 after the demise of the previous Juárez team, Indios de Ciudad Juárez. Grupo Modelo, the parent company of the brewery Cervecería Corona, acquired the Ascenso MX franchise of Irapuato and relocated it to Ciudad Juárez, renaming it FC Juárez. The team's colors are green, white, and red, mirroring the colors of the Mexican flag.
Stadium: FC Juárez plays its home matches at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez, a multi-purpose stadium with a capacity of approximately 19,703 spectators.
Rivalries: FC Juárez maintains a rivalry with Dorados de Sinaloa, often referred to as the Clásico del Norte (Northern Derby).
Achievements: FC Juárez has won the Ascenso MX championship twice, in Apertura 2015 and Clausura 2017. These victories allowed them to compete for promotion to Liga MX. They successfully gained promotion to Liga MX in 2019 by defeating Atlético San Luis in the Ascenso MX Promotion Final.
