Ernest Carter (footballer)

Ernest Carter is a former professional American football running back. He played college football at the University of Texas. Carter was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth round of the 1975 NFL Draft. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cardinals (1975-1977) and the Detroit Lions (1978). His NFL career was relatively short, lasting only four seasons. While not a star player, he contributed as a backup running back and on special teams.
