Empire Builder (album)

Empire Builder is the sixth studio album by the American indie rock band Built to Spill. It was released on October 10, 2023, by Sub Pop Records. The album marks the return of the classic Built to Spill lineup consisting of Doug Martsch, bassist Melanie Radford, and drummer Teresa Esguerra, who also played on the band's previous album, Untethered Moon. It is the band's first album of original material since Untethered Moon (2015), excluding their Built to Spill Plays the Songs of Daniel Johnston tribute album. The album title refers to the name of a passenger train route in the United States.
