Emilio Lunghi

Emilio Lunghi (16 March 1890 – 28 September 1918) was an Italian athlete who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics in London.

Lunghi won the silver medal in the 800 metres event, finishing behind Mel Sheppard of the United States. His time in the final was 1:54.2. He also participated in the 1500 metres, but did not reach the final.

Lunghi was a notable figure in Italian athletics during the early 20th century. He held several Italian records in middle-distance running. His promising athletic career was cut short when he died during World War I in 1918.
