Sovizzo
Sovizzo is a town and comune in the province of Vicenza, Veneto, northern Italy. It is located approximately 60 kilometers west of Venice and about 15 kilometers northwest of Vicenza. The town sits in the foothills of the Alps.
Sovizzo is primarily an agricultural area, producing wine, olives, and other fruits. It is also experiencing increasing residential development due to its proximity to Vicenza.
The history of Sovizzo dates back to Roman times. The area was later controlled by various feudal lords before becoming part of the Republic of Venice. After the fall of Venice, it was part of the Austrian Empire and later became part of the Kingdom of Italy.
