Eleanor Smith (politician)

Eleanor Smith is a British Labour Party politician. She was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wolverhampton North East at the 2017 general election, succeeding Ken Purchase.

Smith was a councillor in Newham, representing the Stratford ward, prior to her election to Parliament. Before entering politics, she worked as a community worker and trade unionist.

During her time in Parliament, Smith served on various select committees. In 2019, she lost her seat to Conservative candidate Jane Stevenson.
