Aceuchal

Aceuchal is a municipality located in the province of Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain. It is part of the Tierra de Barros comarca. Aceuchal's economy is primarily based on agriculture, with olives and wine production being significant activities. The village is known for its production of aceitunas, Spanish olives, specifically the variety known locally as "Aceuchal olives." These olives are frequently used in the production of table olives and olive oil. The municipality is situated approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Mérida, the capital of Extremadura. Its patron saint festivities are celebrated in honor of San Isidro Labrador. The population, as of recent census data, is around 5,000 inhabitants.
