Ekoji II
Ekoji II refers to the second Ekoji Buddhist Temple established in Los Angeles, California. It is a Jodo Shinshu Buddhist temple, part of the Buddhist Churches of America (BCA). The temple's founding history traces back to the early 20th century with the establishment of the first Ekoji Temple in Little Tokyo. Following World War II and the subsequent displacement of Japanese Americans, the temple relocated and was officially re-established as Ekoji II. The temple serves as a center for religious practice, community activities, and cultural preservation within the Japanese American community of Los Angeles, offering services, classes, and events related to Jodo Shinshu Buddhism and Japanese culture.
