Museum of Fine Arts station (MBTA)

The Museum of Fine Arts station is a light rail stop on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Green Line "E" branch, located in the Fenway–Kenmore neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Situated on Huntington Avenue, it primarily serves the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

The station consists of two side platforms serving two tracks. The outbound platform is located closer to the Museum of Fine Arts, while the inbound platform is across Huntington Avenue.

The station originally opened in 1941 as part of the Huntington Avenue subway extension, replacing surface streetcar tracks. The station has undergone renovations and upgrades over the years to improve accessibility and maintain structural integrity. These renovations have included platform reconstruction and modifications to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

As an important transportation hub for cultural institutions, the station experiences significant passenger traffic, particularly during museum hours and special events. Service is provided by Green Line "E" branch trolleys, which operate frequently throughout the day.

The station is a vital link connecting the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum to other parts of Boston via the MBTA system. Its location and frequent service make it a convenient option for visitors and residents alike.
