Sean McLoughlin (footballer)

Sean McLoughlin (born November 9, 1996) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Hull City in the EFL Championship.

McLoughlin began his career with Cork City in the League of Ireland Premier Division. He progressed through their youth ranks and made his senior debut in 2017. During his time at Cork City, he won the League of Ireland Premier Division title in 2017 and the FAI Cup in 2017. He also gained experience playing in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.

In July 2019, McLoughlin signed for Hull City. He initially joined on loan before the move was made permanent in January 2020. He has become a regular member of the Hull City squad, making appearances in both the Championship and League One (during Hull City's promotion-winning season).

McLoughlin has also represented the Republic of Ireland at various youth international levels.
