Edward Wilkinson (cricketer)

Edward Wilkinson (born 18 October 1869, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire in 1896.

Wilkinson was born in Alfreton, Derbyshire. He made his debut for Derbyshire in the 1896 season against Lancashire, taking a catch. He played three further matches in the season, taking a catch in the match against Sussex and achieving his best bowling performance of 2 for 45 against Warwickshire.

Wilkinson was a right-handed batsman and played 4 innings in 4 first-class matches with a top score of 3 and an average of 1.75. He was a right-arm medium-pace bowler and took 2 first-class wickets at an average of 42.50.

He was not seen in first-class cricket after the 1896 season and his date of death is unknown.
