Mark Williams (actor)

Mark Williams (born 22 August 1959) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter and presenter. He is best known for his roles as Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, Rory Donovan in the BBC comedy The Fast Show, and as the titular character in the BBC detective drama Father Brown.

Williams began his career at the Oxford Playhouse and later with the Royal Shakespeare Company. His early television appearances included roles in KYTV and Harry Enfield's Television Programme. He gained wider recognition as part of the ensemble cast of the sketch comedy show The Fast Show in the 1990s.

In addition to his comedic work, Williams has appeared in several dramatic roles. He played Horace in the Disney live-action film 101 Dalmatians and has featured in films such as Shakespeare in Love and Stardust. His most prominent dramatic role is arguably as Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films, a role he played from 2002 to 2011.

Since 2013, Williams has starred as Father Brown in the BBC television series of the same name, based on the stories of G. K. Chesterton. He also presents factual television programs, primarily related to engineering and history. His presenting work includes Mark Williams' Big Bangs and Industrial Revelations.
