Shoujocon
Shoujocon is a term used to describe a subgenre or specific type of anime and manga that focuses on romantic or sexual relationships and/or situations involving young or prepubescent girls (typically under the age of 12) and older men. It is considered a controversial and often legally problematic genre due to its themes of child exploitation and potential for contributing to the sexualization of minors.
The term itself is a portmanteau of "shoujo," meaning "girl" in Japanese, and "lolicon," a term derived from Vladimir Nabokov's novel Lolita and used to describe an attraction to young girls. While "lolicon" as a standalone term also exists in anime and manga fandom, "shoujocon" is specifically used to denote works that portray these relationships as being between young girls and older (often adult) men.
Due to ethical and legal concerns surrounding the depiction of minors in sexualized situations, shoujocon is largely considered taboo and is often censored or banned in many countries. The production and distribution of such materials can have serious legal consequences. Its presence in anime and manga culture is often a source of debate and condemnation. The term is also sometimes used pejoratively to criticize works that are perceived as subtly alluding to or fetishizing underage girls, even if they don't explicitly depict sexual acts.
