Edward Chen (actor)

Edward Chen (Chinese: 陳昊森; pinyin: Chén Hàosēn; born November 2, 1996) is a Taiwanese actor. He is known for his leading roles in the films Your Name Engraved Herein (2020) and Red Dot (2021), as well as television series such as More Than Blue: The Series (2021).

Chen gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of A-Han in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful queer coming-of-age film Your Name Engraved Herein, for which he received a nomination for Best Leading Actor at the 57th Golden Horse Awards. This role catapulted him to fame in Taiwan and internationally.

Following the success of Your Name Engraved Herein, Chen starred in the Netflix action thriller Red Dot, marking his international debut. He has since continued to work in both film and television, showcasing his versatility in diverse roles. He has also appeared in music videos and commercials. Chen is considered one of the rising stars of Taiwanese cinema.
