Dennis Avery (politician)

Dennis Avery (born October 13, 1946) is an American politician. He served as a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 75 from 1994 until 2010. District 75 encompassed parts of Vanderburgh and Posey counties in southwestern Indiana. Avery served on several House committees during his tenure, including those focused on environmental affairs, natural resources, and local government. He was known for his fiscally conservative stance and his advocacy for property rights. After leaving the Indiana House of Representatives, Avery has remained active in local political and civic affairs. He is a graduate of the Indiana State University.
