David Carnegie (entrepreneur)

David Carnegie (born 1832, died 1900) was a Scottish-American entrepreneur and the younger brother of industrialist Andrew Carnegie. While often overshadowed by his more famous brother, David Carnegie played a significant role in the early success of the Carnegie Steel Company and other Carnegie family enterprises.

David Carnegie emigrated from Scotland to the United States with his family in 1848. He initially worked in various jobs before joining his brother Andrew in the burgeoning steel industry.
