Dave Thompson (American football)

Dave Thompson is a former American football player who played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL).

Thompson played college football at Clemson University. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 11th round (287th overall) of the 1984 NFL Draft. He played for the Bengals from 1984 to 1986. His NFL career was primarily as a special teams player. After his time with the Bengals, he played for the New England Patriots in 1987.
