Dave Elliott (American football)
Dave Elliott (born December 24, 1961) is a former American football placekicker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for several teams during the 1980s and 1990s.
Elliott attended the University of Michigan, where he played college football for the Wolverines. He was known for his accuracy and leg strength.
After college, Elliott was signed by the New Orleans Saints in 1984. He subsequently played for the San Francisco 49ers (1985-1986), Atlanta Falcons (1987-1988), and the Washington Redskins (1989-1993). He was part of the Redskins team that won Super Bowl XXVI against the Buffalo Bills.
Elliott retired from professional football after the 1993 season. Since his retirement, he has been involved in various business ventures.
