Ashok Das
Ashok Das is an Indian-American theoretical physicist, specializing in quantum field theory, string theory, and related areas. He is a Professor of Physics at the University of Rochester.
Das received his Ph.D. in physics from Stony Brook University. His research focuses on various aspects of theoretical high-energy physics, including the study of solitons, integrable systems, and quantum field theories at finite temperature and density. He has made contributions to the understanding of quantum electrodynamics (QED) and quantum chromodynamics (QCD) in extreme environments.
Das has authored numerous research papers and several textbooks on quantum field theory, finite temperature field theory, and related subjects. These books are widely used by graduate students and researchers in theoretical physics. He is known for his pedagogical approach to explaining complex concepts.
