Jos Punt
Jos Punt (born in the Netherlands) is a Dutch computer scientist and software engineer. He is primarily known for his work in the field of domain name system (DNS) security and infrastructure. Punt served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of NLnet Labs, a research and development organization focused on open standards and open source software, particularly in the areas of internet infrastructure and security. His work at NLnet Labs has significantly contributed to the development and deployment of DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions).
Punt's contributions include the development of software tools and protocols that enhance the security and reliability of the DNS. He has also been involved in standardization efforts within organizations such as the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). His work has been instrumental in improving the overall security of the internet's domain name system by adding cryptographic authentication to DNS responses.
