Dave Adamson (English footballer)
Dave Adamson (born 10 November 1951) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
Adamson began his career with Burnley, making his league debut in 1969. He went on to make over 200 league appearances for the club, becoming a key player in their midfield. He also played in the team that won the Second Division title in 1972-73.
In 1978, Adamson moved to Sunderland for a reported fee of £250,000. He spent two seasons at Roker Park before joining Oldham Athletic in 1980. After a brief spell with the Latics, he signed for Preston North End, where he ended his professional playing career.
Following his retirement from playing, Adamson worked as a coach and scout for several clubs.
