Daniel McDonald (actor)

Daniel McDonald (1960 – 2007) was an American actor best known for his stage work, particularly his Tony Award-nominated performance as Joe Gillis in the original Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard (1994).

McDonald was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. His career spanned both stage and screen. He starred in numerous regional and Off-Broadway productions before landing the lead role in Sunset Boulevard. Following his success in Sunset Boulevard, McDonald continued to work on Broadway, appearing in productions such as Steel Pier and High Society.

He also had a career in television and film, with guest appearances in television shows like Law & Order and Sex and the City. He also appeared in films such as 61**.

McDonald died of brain cancer in 2007 at the age of 46. He is survived by his wife, Mujah Maraini-Melehi, and children. He is remembered for his talent, his dedication to the theatre, and his contributions to both stage and screen.
