Czaplinek

Czaplinek is a town in northwestern Poland, located in West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is the administrative seat of Czaplinek County and Czaplinek Commune.

Historically, the area was part of Pomerania. Following World War II, the territory, including the town, was transferred to Poland and its German-speaking population was expelled. The town was repopulated with Poles, many of whom were displaced from former eastern Poland annexed by the Soviet Union.

Czaplinek is situated on the Drawsko Lake District (Pojezierze Drawskie), a region known for its numerous lakes and forests.
