Breitenbachplatz (Berlin U-Bahn)
Breitenbachplatz is a station on the U3 line of the Berlin U-Bahn. It is located in the Dahlem district of Berlin, Germany, under the square of the same name. The station opened on December 22, 1929, as part of the extension of the U3 (then known as Line A) from Thielplatz to Krumme Lanke.
The station's design is relatively simple, featuring a central platform with access from both ends via staircases. The walls are tiled in a light color, and the station name is displayed in a clear, easily readable font. The platform is covered by a simple roof supported by columns.
Breitenbachplatz serves the primarily residential area of Dahlem, providing access to local shops, businesses, and residential streets. It is not a major interchange station, but it provides a convenient connection to other parts of Berlin via the U3 line. The area surrounding the station is known for its relatively quiet and affluent character. The station itself has remained largely unchanged since its opening, retaining much of its original functionalist design.
