Ukanafun

Ukanafun is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. It is located in the western part of the state and is inhabited primarily by the Annang people. Agriculture is a major economic activity in Ukanafun, with the cultivation of crops like cassava, yam, plantain, and vegetables being common. The area also engages in palm oil production. Ukanafun is made up of several villages and towns, and is governed by a local government council. Like other LGAs in Nigeria, Ukanafun is responsible for providing basic services to its residents, including primary healthcare, education, and infrastructure maintenance.
