Brusio

Brusio is a village and a municipality in the Italian speaking Val Poschiavo region of the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is located near the border with Italy.

The municipality is known for the Brusio spiral viaduct, a single-track, nine-arch stone railway viaduct on the Bernina railway line, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The viaduct was constructed to limit the railway's gradient on the approach to Brusio.

Brusio's economy is primarily based on agriculture, tourism related to the Bernina Pass and the railway, and small-scale industry.
