Chris Williamson (alpine skier)
Chris Williamson (born 16 September 1981) is a British alpine skier who has competed in both able-bodied and Para-alpine skiing events.
Williamson began his skiing career as an able-bodied athlete, representing Great Britain in various international competitions. His career was unfortunately interrupted by a serious training accident in 2006, resulting in significant visual impairment.
Following his accident, Williamson transitioned to Para-alpine skiing, competing in the B3 visually impaired category. He skis with a guide. He has achieved notable success in Para-alpine skiing, including multiple World Cup podium finishes and participation in the Paralympic Winter Games.
Williamson competed in the 2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver and the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi. His best Paralympic result was fifth place in the slalom in Sochi. He also participated in several World Championships.
