Chooseco

Chooseco is an American publishing company best known for its Choose Your Own Adventure series of interactive children's books. Founded in 1979 as Packet Books, a division of Vermont Crossroads Press, the company changed its name to Chooseco in 2003.

The Choose Your Own Adventure series, pioneered by Edward Packard, became hugely popular in the 1980s and 1990s. The books allow the reader to make choices that affect the storyline, leading to multiple different endings. This format differentiates them from traditional linear narratives and contributed significantly to their success.

While the original series publishing run ended in 1999, Chooseco revived the Choose Your Own Adventure brand in 2003 and continues to publish new titles, re-release classic stories, and license the brand for various media including video games and other interactive experiences. The company actively defends its trademarks associated with the "Choose Your Own Adventure" name and interactive storytelling concept.
