Dan Hughes (Nebraska politician)

Dan Hughes is an American politician from Nebraska. He serves as a member of the Nebraska Legislature, representing the 74th legislative district. The 74th district encompasses parts of southeastern Nebraska.

Hughes was first elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2017. Due to Nebraska's term limits, he is ineligible to run for re-election in 2024. During his time in the legislature, Hughes has served on various committees, including but not limited to the Appropriations Committee. His legislative priorities have often focused on issues affecting rural Nebraska, such as agriculture, property taxes, and infrastructure.

Prior to his political career, Hughes was involved in farming and ranching. He is a member of the Republican Party. He resides in Venango, Nebraska.
