Art Green (artist)

Art Green (artist) is an American artist associated with the Chicago Imagists, a group of artists who emerged in Chicago in the late 1960s. Green is known for his surreal and often humorous paintings and drawings, characterized by meticulous detail, vibrant colors, and distorted perspectives.

Green's work often incorporates elements of popular culture, comic books, and advertising imagery. He frequently depicts bizarre and unsettling scenes, populated by idiosyncratic characters and strange objects. Born in 1941, Green studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
