Taganskaya (Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line)
Taganskaya (Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line) is a Moscow Metro station on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Line (Line 7). It is located in the Tagansky District of Moscow, Russia. The station opened on December 31, 1966, as part of the Zhdanovskiy Radius extension.
The station is a pylon tri-vault design, built at a depth of 49 meters (161 feet). Its design features white marble pylons adorned with metal panels depicting scenes of the Russian Revolution. The walls are tiled with white and grey ceramic tiles.
Taganskaya (Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line) is a transfer station to Taganskaya station on the Koltsevaya Line (Line 5). The transfer is facilitated by a long escalator passage connecting the central halls of both stations.
The station's location is significant, situated near the Taganka Square, the Taganka Theatre, and various historical and cultural landmarks. It is a crucial transport hub for residents and visitors of the Tagansky District. The architects of the station were A.F. Strelkov, N.A. Aleshina, and A.S. Getman.
