Bengazi (film)

Bengazi is a 1955 American war film directed by John Brahm and starring Richard Conte, Maureen O'Hara, and Richard Erdman. The film is loosely based on the Second Barbary War and specifically focuses on the daring raid led by Lieutenant Putnam to rescue American sailors held captive in Bengazi (Benghazi), Libya, by Barbary pirates in 1821.
