Charles Kemeys-Tynte (1800–1882)

Charles Kemeys-Tynte (1800 – 1882) was a British politician and landowner. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Bridgwater, Somerset, on several occasions during the mid-19th century.

Born Charles John Kemeys, he adopted the additional surname of Tynte upon inheriting the Tynte estate. He was a prominent figure in Somerset society and involved in local affairs. His parliamentary career was marked by periods of representation interspersed with intervals out of office, reflecting the political shifts of the era. He was known for his conservative political views.
