Chapman Glacier (Palmer Land)
Chapman Glacier is a glacier located in Palmer Land, Antarctica. It flows northeast into the head of Trail Inlet, on the east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. The glacier's position is approximately 74°53′S 61°45′W.
The glacier was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in honor of Chapman Grant, Jr., a biologist and herpetologist. Grant served as a member of the East Base of the United States Antarctic Service (USAS) during the 1939-1941 expedition. He conducted biological research and served as the base's dog handler.
