Carla Gravina

Carla Gravina (born August 5, 1941) is an Italian actress and politician.

Gravina began her acting career in the late 1950s, quickly gaining recognition for her talent and versatility. She appeared in a wide range of films, working with prominent Italian directors such as Mario Monicelli, Dino Risi, and Luchino Visconti. Some of her notable film credits include "Estate Violenta" (1959), "Un amore a Roma" (1960), "La terrazza" (1980), and "Il lungo silenzio" (1993). She also worked internationally, appearing in films like "The Night of the Generals" (1967).

Beyond her film career, Gravina has also worked extensively in theatre and television. She is respected for her performances in both classic and contemporary plays.

In the 1980s, Gravina entered politics, serving as a Member of the European Parliament for the Italian Communist Party (PCI) from 1981 to 1983.
