Buteera
Buteera is a town located in the Northern Province of Rwanda. It is the capital of the Buteera Sector in the Rulindo District. As a sector, Buteera comprises several villages and is characterized by its hilly terrain, typical of the Rwandan landscape. Agriculture is a primary economic activity in the region, with crops such as bananas, beans, and coffee being cultivated. The town serves as a local center for commerce and administration for the surrounding rural communities. Buteera, like other parts of Rwanda, has been impacted by the country's history, including the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. Recovery efforts and ongoing development initiatives are aimed at improving the livelihoods and well-being of its residents.
