Blanks 77
Blanks 77 was an American punk rock band formed in 1996 in New York City. The band was notable for its blend of late 1970s-style punk rock with elements of hard rock and glam. Their sound was often compared to bands like The Dead Boys, The Heartbreakers, and early Hanoi Rocks.
The band consisted of guitarist/vocalist Mike Blank, bassist/vocalist Zander Schloss, and drummer Bill Keal. Over their career, Blanks 77 released several albums and EPs, touring extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Their music often featured themes of urban decay, personal struggles, and a rebellious spirit, characteristic of the punk rock genre. While the band is no longer active, they are remembered for their energetic live performances and contribution to the late 1990s/early 2000s punk rock scene.
