Ulmaridae

Ulmaridae is a family of jellyfish belonging to the order Semaeostomeae. They are characterized by having a thick, firm bell and complex oral arms, often folded or frilled. This family encompasses a number of relatively large jellyfish species found in oceans worldwide, some of which are commonly observed. The Ulmaridae are predatory, feeding on plankton and other small organisms they capture with their nematocyst-laden tentacles and oral arms.
