Buff Cobb

Buff Cobb (December 19, 1926 – December 12, 2010) was an American actress, television personality, and writer. Born in Florence, Alabama, as Patricia Cobb Chapman, she was the granddaughter of humorist Irvin S. Cobb.

Cobb gained prominence in the early days of television, co-hosting the live talk show The Irv Kupcinet Show with her then-husband, Chicago newspaper columnist Irv Kupcinet. The show, initially titled Kup's Column, provided a platform for celebrity interviews and discussions of current events. She was known for her vivacious personality and engaging presence on television.

Following her divorce from Kupcinet, Cobb continued to work in television and theater. She appeared in various plays, often touring nationally. Her acting credits include appearances in films and television series, although her career shifted more towards writing later in life.

In her later years, Cobb focused on writing, contributing articles to magazines and authoring books. She also remained active in social circles and maintained a connection to the entertainment industry. Buff Cobb died in Lebanon, New Hampshire, at the age of 83.
