Bruce Kennedy (athlete)
Bruce Kennedy is a former American track and field athlete who specialized in the decathlon. He is best known for his performance at the 1980 U.S. Olympic Trials, where he finished fourth, narrowly missing a spot on the Olympic team due to the United States' boycott of the Moscow Games.
Kennedy attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he competed for the Bruins track and field team. He was a Pac-10 champion in the decathlon and a multiple-time All-American.
