Broom (album)
Broom is the debut album by Australian alternative rock band Spiderbait, released in 1990. The album was initially released as a limited-edition vinyl pressing before being re-released on CD. Broom showcases Spiderbait's early sound, characterized by raw energy, punk influences, and elements of alternative rock. The album features tracks that display the band's distinctive dual vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and idiosyncratic songwriting. While not a commercial success at the time of its release, Broom is considered an important early work in Spiderbait's discography and provides insight into the band's formative musical development. It helped to establish their presence in the Australian independent music scene before their later breakthrough with albums such as Ivy and the Big Apples.
